There are two planned outages currently on the books, and that information is as follows:
Monday, August 24:
Customers in and around the vicinity of Route 17C, Chemung Street, Ellis Creek Road, Emory Chapel Road, Talmadge Hill Road, Acres Avenue, Pembelton Place, Morning Side Drive, and Ellistown Road will experience a service interruption from approximately 8am to 4pm.
Tuesday, August 25
Customers in and around the vicinity of Cayuta Street, Center Street, Church Street, Circle Drive, Dean Creek Drive, Ellis Creek Road, Norris Road, Old Rt 34, Ranch Road, Ridge Road, Rt 34, and Talmadge Hill W will experience a service interruption from approximately 8am to 4pm.
All impacted customers will receive a phone call or email with the details of the outage and its duration, provided they have updated contact information in our system. Should any of you have questions about this outage or specific customer impact, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

UPDATE [08/13/2026]
Due to a scheduled Penelec power outage, the Town of Barton Municipal Offices will be closed on Tuesday, August 25, with a rain date of August 27.
If you received a notification from Penelec, your property is within the affected service area and you may also experience an interruption in power.
