During EMS Week, we recognize and thank the dedicated EMTs, paramedics, and EMS professionals who serve our communities every day.

We would especially like to thank the members of Waverly Fire/Rescue, who serve entirely as volunteers. Their willingness to answer the call at all hours to serve our community does not go unnoticed. You are truly appreciated.

Waverly Fire/Rescue held it's annual appreciation dinner on Friday, April 10th. Twenty-Three department members were in attendance. Ten were honored for their years of service for a combined total of 110 years. I want to extend a special "Thank-you" to our members' spouses, significant others, and family members for sharing their volunteer with the patrons of the City of Waverly and the Waverly Suburban Fire District and allowing them to respond on calls. Also, Thank-you to Southeast Fire & Rescue Department for covering our calls for service so our members could enjoy the evening. Lastly, Thank-you to the community for your continued support of Waverly Fire/Rescue.
