Scenes from this summer’s Water Safety Day series at Milwaukee County Parks’s pools.

These families learned how to stay safe around pools, riverbanks, beaches, and more.

With pool season coming to a close, these little swimmers might find themselves wanting to cool off at the lake, and will now have the skills to do so safely. They learned how to assess water conditions, pick out a life jacket, use a ring buoy, and more!

Last week we hosted and competed in the Wisconsin Park and Rec Association Region IV Lifeguard Competition at Cool Waters. Our team earned the Spirit Award for demonstrating great teamwork and cheering on all lifeguard competitors.

We had a ton of fun and can’t wait to be a part again next year!
