The Kileen Home

The Kileen Home Built in 1909 in Semi Queen Anne Victorian Four square Style; designed by Henry Auler of Oshkosh. The Home was built for Edward Kileen in 1909.

It remains as a historical treasure and monument to the Wautoma Area. Edward was an extremely ambitious man. He was a Teacher, Lawyer, Senator, District Attorney and Mayor. He also established the fish hatchery in Wild Rose. He had four children whom did not fall far from the tree. Ruth and Mary became Teachers. Roy moved to Chicago and became a banker. Earl followed most closely in his father's f

ootsteps. He also was the District Attorney. He continued living in the house with his wife Carol (Roberts) and their daughter Kathryn. Kathryn married and moved away. Carol continued to live in the home until 1991 when she passed. The home was then sold to the Scheer family who ran it as a Bed and Breakfast. Today the home is open for tours, clubs and events.
