Recently a resident of Waushara County had a missed call showing it came from the Waushara County Zoning Office. Upon attempting to call the number back they received what appeared to be a robocall talking about a refund or money. Please know that Waushara County will not ask for personal information over the phone to provide a refund.

The City of Wautoma, Wisconsin seeks a qualified individual for the position of Service Worker – Laborer in the Department of Public Works. High school graduate and required Commercial Driver’s License (CDL); with air brakes endorsements or the ability to obtain within three months of hire required. Candidates with a CDL and some electrical, plowing, sewer construction or forestry work experience, along with any experience in local government preferred.

Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 80 pounds, standing/walking or sitting for long periods of time and tolerate extreme weather conditions. Ideal candidate will possess strong public relations and interpersonal skills. Candidate shall be available 24/7 for call outs and shift work assignments. Hourly wage starts at $20/hr. with an expected increase over $23/hr. after successful completion of the probationary period and upon receiving ground water distribution certification.

The city offers a highly generous benefits package, which includes low-deductible health care, city-funded HSA account, dental insurance, vision insurance and entrance into the Wisconsin Retirement System – the top-rated public pension in the nation.
