The Jr/Sr High School Library has had a few upgrades this summer too! A shelf ready for all the YA books brought over from WES, a rearranged study nook, and some fun new decor!

Moving Update #3

Once upon a time, there was a story about a Magic Treehouse that took friends back in time for all kinds of adventures.
A very special adventure began about 1994... at the Riverview Library. A friend created a Magic Treehouse just for our readers!
Throughout the years, our Library Friends have had so many wonderful moments reading stories in the Treehouse.
Even though Riverview Elementary's adventures have ended... the Magic Treehouse will live on... at the new Wautoma Elementary School Library. We can't wait to keep this tradition going for all our new readers!
A special THANK YOU goes out to Sarah and Jeremy Pietkauskis for taking apart, restructuring, and rebuilding the treehouse in it's new home!

Moving Update #2
The past three days have been wild!
We had student helpers pack up ALL the books at Riverview, the moving crew transported them down the road, and then staff assistants and student volunteers got everything on the shelves - even some extra shelves built by our custodians!
Our assistants will spend the next few days merging the final "Neighborhoods" (specific sections of the collections) and making sure everything is in Dewey order!
Thank you again to everyone for going above and beyond in the 90 degree heat and organized chaos! You are very appreciated!
Stay tuned for the final update when Ms. Roberts-Bray gets all the other supplies and resources upacked!

Moving update!
This summer, WASD has been working hard to transform Parkside School into Wautoma Elementary School. Part of that transition is merging the Riverview Library and Parkside Library collections.
Thank you to the assistants, custodians, summer movers, and student workers for all they have done to help complete PHASE #1!
Parkside shelves torn apart, rebuilt, and relocated ✔️
Space prepped and ready for the Magic Treehouse ✔️
ALL of the Riverview books relabeled ✔️
ALL of the Parkside books relabeled, stacked, and moved to make room for the Riverview collection ✔️

The Literacy Signpost is done!
She has found her new home at the Jr/Sr High School Library and can't wait to show off her literary locations this fall!

10 years ago, this Literary Signpost made its first appearance in the Parkside Library. A few years later, she moved to the Riverview Library. This year, she will make a come back finding a new home at the Wautoma Jr/Sr High School Library.
However, first...she needs a few updates! Library helpers are working to revise a few Literary Locations. Any guesses on what direction she will point us to next?
