Great work SRO Kutchenriter!

Not all heroes wear capes; some wear a badge and know their way around a bus engine! 🛡️🚌

A HUGE THANK YOU to Officer Andrew Kutchenriter for going above and beyond for our Wausau School District family. When a bus was disabled at the end of the school day, Officer Andy stepped right in to help get it running so our students could get home safely and on time.

In keeping with the back-to-school theme in our posts this week, we thought we’d throw out another encouragement to be mindful of school zones. You’ve probably seen our officers out there monitoring traffic, motioning to people to slow down a bit, and making some stops.

Some of you are doing great, but some have lots of work to do. So, if this were a group project we’d maybe give you a C+ for these first few days. Let’s all work harder to bring that grade up!

Hey, morning & afternoon commuters! We see a lot of you slowing down in school zones, which is great - thanks much! However, there are still bunch of drivers who haven’t mastered this yet (we met some of you in person this morning).

Please be mindful of your speed in school zones during your travels. Be alert and watch out for children & crossing guards.
