Today is the Day! Are you excited yet because we are! The final brewery reveal is Hoyahophousebrewing right here in Waupun! A great local brewery with great craft b**r and cocktails with a delicious food menu and several great events throughout the year! Here is what you'll be able to taste tonight!

- Oktoberfest - Festbier L***r - Crafted with German malts, this Oktoberfest delivers a toasty sweet malt backbone with notes of fresh-baked bread, hone, and a touch of biscuit. Balanced by subtle floral hop character and crisp, clean finish, it's endlessly drinkable and brewed to fuel the festivities!

- Joe Dirt - Coffee kolsch - Joe Dirt is a coffee Kolsch with a little edge. Crisp, clean, and layered with character. A touch of rye brings subtle spice, while a custom Nunatak coffee blend adds soft notes of light roast cocoa, and a hint of bright fruit. Smooth, refreshing, and quietly complex.

- Metamorphosis 4.0 - Fruited Sour Wheat - From cocoon to glass, Metamorphosis continues its transformation. This vibrant sour bursts with waves of juicy pineapple, lush dragon fruit, refreshing watermelon, and a touch of sea salt, creating a bright tropical swirl that feels both nostalgic an surreal.

- Pier Pressure 2.0 - Modern West Coast IPA - This West Coast IPA is built around NewZilla and Simcoe, and crashes the waves with layered notes of grapefruit, dank pine, and orange zest over a crip, dry finish. Firm bitterness and a clean malt bill keep the focus exactly where it belongs - on the hops.

Hops at Marsh Haven opens tonight at 4pm where you'll be able to sample every single one of these options. Tickets will be available on eventbrite until 4pm, or in our gift shop between 4pm and 8pm. Don't forget to grab a raffle ticket to have a chance to take home a 6-pack of whatever craft b**r remains at the end of the event. Hope to see you tonight for what looks to be an amazing evening of b**r, food, and company!

We are just 2 days away! We are all really excited to welcome you to Hops at Marsh Haven for what is looking like a beautiful fall evening. Another returnee for this year is Fifth Ward Brewing Company out of Oshkosh, brewing thoughtfully creative and well-balanced Ales, Sours, and L***rs. Fifth Ward has something for every b**r drinker, and here is a preview of what they'll have for you at Hops at Marsh Haven.

- Oktoberfest - Oktoberfest – German Festbier - 5.8% ABV – 23 IBU Brewed in between the ‘Marzen’ and ‘Festbier’ styles, our Oktoberfest is a proper balance of biscuity Munich malt, crisp Pilsner malt, and traditional German Perle Hops. It pours deep gold in color with a malty aroma and flavor with a crisp, dry finish, courtesy of the hops.

- Almond Together Now – Candy Inspired Amber - 5.3% ABV – 20 IBU Smooth and creamy with notes of malt on the nose. Loaded with coconut, cocoa nibs, and toasted almond, pour a pint and you’ve got a glass full Joy!

- Cran-Cherry Upsidedown Cake - Pastry Sour - 6% ABV – 5 IBU Taking pastry sour to the next level, we smashed one of our favorite fruit combinations into a tried and true banger in our Upsidedown Cake treatment. Cranberry, cherry, graham cracker, caramel, & vanilla.

So many delicious varieties for you to taste throughout the event. Be sure to grab your tickets today at Hopsatmarshhaven.eventbrite.com, including non-alcoholic ticket for only $20! Hope to see you here this weekend!

Who AmI Wednesday?

Correct Answer: Prairie dropseed

The grass in the photo is that of Prairie dropseed, a native perennial bunchgrass in Wisconsin. Prairie dropseed grows in clumps about 2 feet wide and 3 feet tall. It grows thin angel hair like green leaves which turn golden brown in fall. It produces pink to brown pyramidal pannicles, and once the seeds mature they fall easily from the plant. Hence the name Prairie dropseed. The flowers and seeds have a unique smell that some equate to buttered popcorn, coriander, or roasted nuts. The seeds also provide a great food source for birds and small mammals. Their dense base and root system provides great nesting sites for bees and other small wildlife. The plant itself is heat and drought tolerant as well as deer resistant. It's low maintenance nature makes it a great landscape choice as well as helps with erosion control. So many amazing benefits in such a simple looking plant. Consider this a great native option for your yard not only for aesthetics but to help your local wildlife as well.

The count down continues at 4 days to go. Today we'll highlight another returnee, Knuth Brewing Company. A must stop when you're near the Ripon area, here is a few of the brews, as described on their website, you'll be able to sample on Saturday at Hops at Marsh Haven!

- Blue-eyed Blonde - Expect this b**r to be light colored and easy drinking for any occasion. Made with Wisconsin grown Mt. Hood, Cascade, and European Saaz hops. After fermentation we age this b**r with fresh noble Saaz hops for a short time to provide a refreshing aroma and flavor without being bitter. This was the first original recipe I ever created. Special, important. I wanted to name it after the woman who has always stood by my side and supported me through everything.

- Citra Spice IPA - With 14 different hop additions throughout the boil and a heavy dose of dry hops this IPA drinks smooth all the way to last sip. Starts off with hints of grapefruit from American Cascade hops and finishes with just a hint of spice from Saaz hops.

- Marzen Oktoberfest - Our seasonal b**r and perfect for this time of year, Marzen means March in German and this b**r was typically brewed in March and then l***red, or stored, underground until the late summer or fall when the harvest would be ready and the people would have an Oktoberfest party. This l***r is brewed in the traditional German style using the highest quality German yeast and European hops and malt for a clean and crisp flavor.
