🍋🚓 Deputy Makuski made a sweet stop yesterday near Marion when he came across some young entrepreneurs running a lemonade stand!

He enjoyed meeting the kids, checking out their business setup, and giving them a tour of his squad car. It's always great to see young people learning the value of hard work, customer service, and entrepreneurship.

Thank you for the refreshing conversation and hospitality! Deputy Makuski wishes you the best of luck with your future sales and hopes business continues to be booming! 🍋💰

Sheriff Wilz and members of the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office were proud to take part in the Kids Fish-A-Lon on Iola Lake this past weekend.

Thank you to Holly Gray and everyone who helped make this event possible. It was a great day of fishing, learning, and community, with over 80 kids and their families participating.

Sheriff Wilz said, “Events like this are a great reminder of what makes our communities special. Seeing so many kids and families come together to enjoy the outdoors and build positive connections is something we are proud to support.”

Thank you to all of the volunteers, organizers, and families who came out to support such a wonderful event.

📚🚓 What a great afternoon at the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office!

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming homeschool students from across Waupaca County for a behind-the-scenes look at what we do each day to serve our community.

The students toured our 911 Communications Center, where they learned when and how to call 911 and got a firsthand look at the important work our dispatchers do. They also visited our evidence garage, checked out our Crime Scene Unit evidence collection vehicle, and explored Deputy Deuman’s and Sgt. Repinski’s squads along with some of the specialized tactical equipment they use in the field.

To top off the visit, students enjoyed a demonstration of one of our drones and learned how this technology helps us keep our community safe.

We were thrilled to host this group and were impressed by their curiosity, thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm throughout the visit. Thank you to all of the students, parents, and organizers who made today’s visit possible. We enjoyed spending time with you and hope to see some future public safety professionals in the group! 👏🚔

🌈🚔 Last Friday's storm left behind quite the view!

Deputy Betzner spotted this beautiful rainbow stretching across the sky and naturally had to investigate... you know, just in case there was a pot of gold at the end of it. 💰🍀

Although no gold was located, evidence was gathered for an even greater treasure, a reminder of how lucky we are to serve such a scenic community come rain or shine!

Remember that turtle rescue post we shared on Saturday? 🐢🚔

Well... social media only tells part of the story.

What you didn't see was Deputy Guyette proudly holding the turtle while safely helping it across the road... and the turtle immediately expressing its gratitude by relieving its bladder all over him. 😆

It's a good reminder that what you see online isn't always the full reality. Behind every perfect photo is usually a story that didn't make the first post!

In all seriousness, thank you to everyone who slows down and watches for turtles and other wildlife on our roadways. This time of year, they're on the move, and a little extra caution can help keep them safe.

And Deputy Guyette? He took "Protect and Serve" seriously even when the job got a little messy.
