The responsibility of Waupaca Area Public Library’s Student Library Advisory Group (SLAG) is to support and increase awareness of Young Adult Services and assist the Teen Librarian and the Waupaca Area Public Library in making decisions and providing and maintaining an environment that is fun, friendly, and safe to teens.

This event is for teens in 6th-12th grade.

What happens when 5 goblins are sent to gather ingredients for a wizard? Cartwheels, funny sounds, chaos, and dancing! Today we had some teens running a Dungeons and Dragons game based on Adventures with Muk (the Goblin) and his friends in place of our regular adventures! 🎲

Special thanks to our Dungeon Master who tackled this adventure with little to no prep time and made for a very fun impromptu session!

Discussing whether or not we should dress up as jars of peanut butter for a future project isn’t actually that uncommon when the Teen Volunteer Agents (T.V.A.) are meeting.

Yesterday, we had Mary and Mary (some fellow librarians) stop in as guests and share some upcoming volunteering opportunities with us! We learned all about the Waupaca Public Library’s Food Pantry upstairs and other awesome volunteering opportunities at the library!

We learned how we help the Food Pantry by volunteering our time or looking into conducting a food drive of our own.

Additionally, the library is looking for helpers of all ages to record a promotional video for the library afterhours on Friday, November 21st! 🎥
