The School District of Waukesha will be holding a hearing this Wednesday, July 12th, at 12:00pm in part of their process to decide whether or not they will terminate Melissa Bollow Tempel.

Melissa has been speaking out against the district's biased policies & helped us with last month's Town Hall. Her hearing is open to the public, and The Alliance for Education in Waukesha is holding a silent rally in support of her at 11am on Wednesday.

Both the rally and the hearing are being held at 301 Hyde Park Avenue, Waukesha. We encourage anyone who can go and support Melissa Bollow Tempel. Included in this post is a link to information about The Alliance's silent rally.

What: Silent Rally to Support Free Speech When: Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM (Public School Board hearing for Melissa Tempel follows at Noon) Where: Blair Administration Building, 301 Hyde Park Avenue, Waukesha Park in the lot on Chicago Street and then gather on the public

There will be a Town Hall on LGBTQ+ Issues in Waukesha and YOU are invited!

On Saturday, June 17th, there will be a Town Hall hosted in Program Room A of the Waukesha Public Library beginning at 1:30pm. This event will be an honest discussion & education about LGBTQ+ issues in Waukesha, with a panel of citizens answering questions from the community. If you have any questions you would like answered, please submit it on the google form linked below! The more people who ask questions, the more our panel will know what the community would like to discuss. We will also be doing a Q&A at the Town Hall, so attendees can ask questions at that time as well. The google form also includes optional registration questions, where you can RSVP and share your email to receive future mailings if you so choose.

Our panelists include representatives from The Alliance for Education in Waukesha, Fair Wisconsin, GSAFE, LGBT Waukesha, and PFLAG Waukesha. All are welcome to this event! For those who cannot attend, the Town Hall will also be live-streamed on YouTube. We'll share a link here on June 17th, but you can follow our YouTube page - -Waukesha - today! (Virtual attendees will not be able to participate in the Q&A portion of the Town Hall but may still submit their question on the google form mentioned above.)

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you on June 17th!

A place for the public to submit any questions they have before the Town Hall on LGBTQ+ Issues in Waukesha on June 17th. You may also RSVP for the event if you'd like, but that is optional.
