The Hardee Help Center is dedicated to working together with churches and community agencies to assist families in Hardee County who are experiencing short-term hardships. We are an extension ministry of the Hardee County Ministerial Association, a United Way of Central Florida Partner, and the local Salvation Army Service Unit. The purpose of this page is to provide information of public interest

about the Hardee Help Center (HHC) with the general public. We encourage comments and questions regarding posted topics. Join us Wednesday, September 9, from 8:00–9:00 AM for fresh coffee, a light breakfast, and a relaxed morning of conversation and connection with local business leaders.

Today, on International Day of Charity, we’re especially grateful for every person who gives, volunteers, prays, shares, and serves alongside Hardee Help Center.

Together, we have the opportunity to make compassion visible right here in Hardee County.

The Hardee Help Center will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

We’re grateful for the people whose work, service, and care help keep our community moving every day.

We’ll reopen Tuesday with regular hours. Wishing our community a safe and restful Labor Day!

A new month means another opportunity to LOVE LOUD!

Throughout September, we’re excited to partner with Northside Baptist Church - Wauchula as they find meaningful ways to serve, encourage, and care for our neighbors throughout Hardee County.

We’re grateful for local churches who step up, show up, and help make our community stronger. Northside, we can’t wait to see how you LOVE LOUD this month!

What an incredible way to celebrate a milestone!

Hardee Help Center Executive Director Lori Huffman Friers recently launched a special campaign in honor of her upcoming 50th birthday: 50 days to help feed 50 families by 50!

Instead of birthday gifts, Lori is asking friends, family and our community to help provide food for local families. A $25 donation provides a day of food for a family of four, and each donation brings her one candle closer to her goal of lighting all 50 by October 20.

And once again, our community showed just how generous it can be. Within the first 24 hours, 20 candles were already lit! We are incredibly grateful for every person who has already given and helped turn Lori’s birthday wish into real support for families in Hardee County.

FREE FURNITURE!

We’re doing a little clearing out at Hardee Help Center, and we have several pieces of furniture available FREE to anyone who can use them!

Items are first come, first served, and we’re unable to hold items. Please come prepared to load and transport your items, as our team is unable to assist with loading or delivery.
