Monterey Bay Youth Outdoor Day is a totally free event open to the public. Our focus is to get kids interested in the many outdoor activities that are right here in our back yard. With over 50 different organizations represented, there is something for everyone!

We are inviting schools in the Santa Cruz and Monterey area to attend this years event on Friday and Saturday, October 5th & 6th between 10am and 4pm. One week until the 7th annual Monterey Bay Youth Outdoor Day Event! We are so grateful to our local farmers for donating all the produce for the FREE Salad bar. This year Food What form UCSC will be running this booth. Hope to see you all out at the event this year.

We just got a donation from Sumano's Bakery. Thank you for donating the buns for the hamburgers!
Also, thanks to the Watsonville Police Assistance Fund Board members for volunteering and cooking for the event on Saturday May 13th.

Hello Friends! This year, by popular demand, we have decided to have the Youth Day on 2 days! Friday May 12th we invite the local schools to bring classes to participate for free and learn valuable survival skills and have lots of fun. Then on Saturday May 13th we invite families to come back and enjoy a full day of events. Please help share this post and bring our attendance to records high numbers.

We wanted to let everyone know that the 2016 Youth Day has been postponed due to several budgetary and logistical reasons. As this comes at such late notice, we want to ensure you that we are doing everything possible to secure a date for the next event. We have been working with administration in elementary and middle schools throughout the county and are planning to make the Monterey Bay Youth Outdoor Day larger and more improved. We are planning to make MBYOD a two day event, Friday will be the “school field trip day”, and Saturday will be open to the public, as well as for students to return with their families. Involving our local schools will greatly increase our attendance and help spread the word further about our event. While the May 2016 youth day is officially postponed, plans are already taking place to make the next MBYOD the best yet!
Please message me directly if you have the resources to help out in any way, financially or with volunteer hours. We will be needing to collect raffle prizes as well as raise money for rentals and building materials.
We want to thank the community for their continued support and look forward to our next event!
