A reminder that all Athens Regional Libraries will be closed Monday, September 7th, for Labor Day.

You will still be able to place holds on items for future pick-up through PINES and our digital collection is always available for your convenience via Libby, the Palace Project, and our new streaming service, Kanopy!

We will resume regular operating ours the following day, Tuesday, September 8th!

Sewcial Sewing Class Cancelled Today

Due to our volunteer being sick, today’s Sewcial Sewing class, Sunday, September 6th from 2:30–4:30 PM, is cancelled.

We’re sorry for the late notice and appreciate your understanding. We hope to see you at the next class!

Sewing machines will be out, if you want to come in and work on your own. But no instructor will be present for this class.

🧵✂️ Drop-In Sewing Repair at the Oconee Library! ✂️🧵

This past Monday, one of our wonderful volunteers hosted a Sewing Repair Workshop and helped several patrons give their clothing a little TLC! ❤️ She helped hem pants, repair holes along jacket seams, and more!

Did you know the Oconee Library has sewing machines AND a knowledgeable volunteer who comes twice each month to help patrons learn various sewing skills? 🪡🧵
