Congratulations to senior Rachel Vickio, recipient of the Female Scholar Athlete of the Year Award, and to Coach Jason Westervelt, who was honored as Coach of the Year for Girls Swimming & Diving at the ESPN Nights of Champions Dinner Celebration!
Both Rachel and Coach Westervelt exemplify outstanding character, hard work, and grit—qualities that shine on the field, on the courts, and in the pool.

Last night Anna (Valedictorian) and Sam (Salutatorian) were honored at the annual GST BOCES Southern Tier Scholars ceremony hosted by the Bath Central School District. Each are excellent examples of how hard work pays off! Anna is off to Pitt to study Neuroscience and Sam is off to the U.S. Naval Academy to study Quantitative Economics. Oh, Class of 2026… you thought you had the prank game locked down?
Think again.
This morning, WGHS staff showed up early, took over the main entrance, and turned it into a full-blown tropical luau takeover 🌴🌊☀️
Lawn chairs? ✅
Hawaiian shirts? ✅
Leis? ✅
Maximum island vibes? ✅✅✅
While the students, and especially the Seniors, walked in expecting just a normal day, they were greeted by a front entrance filled with relaxed, sunglasses-wearing staff kicking back in full vacation mode 😎🌺

We love our seniors—but we couldn’t let you leave without one last reminder…
