Resource to know: New York State Small Business Credit Initiative

Access to capital is one of the biggest challenges for small businesses. Empire State Development’s SSBCI programs are designed to expand access to loans, equity, and technical assistance for small businesses across New York State. ESD notes that more than $500 million in federal funding is available through the program.

There is also an SSBCI Technical Assistance Program that connects eligible businesses with no-cost guidance in areas such as legal, accounting, and financial matters.

If financing is part of your growth plan, this is worth knowing about.
