Schuyler County Soil and Water Conservation District Welcome to the Schuyler County SWCD page! The Schuyler Soil and Water office has four employees.

The district manager (Jerry Verrigni), a district field manager (Elaine Dalrymple), a district technician (Rebecca Collins), and a USC grazing specialist (John Wickham). We provide our services to help the residents and local highway departments with any environmental needs.

Soil and Water Conservation Districts are located in each county and borough throughout New York State. They coordinate and implement natural resource and environmental programs at the local level in cooperation with state and federal agencies such as the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service. Since 1940 the Schuyler County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD or the District) has been working to address natural resource issues in Schuyler County such as water quality, soil erosion and nutrient management. This website will highlight many of the District programs and provide useful information for Schuyler County residents about our County and our region’s natural resources.

The United States Department of Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS - Ithaca Field Office) 15. The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC Region 8 - Avon) 16.
