For what it's worth . . . and we know of one major country that has not signed on! We applaud the Colombian people for taking the lead on this effort. CPNY was an early endorser of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty, and at least one of our members has been actively working on the international effort.

The WATER ACT has been reintroduced to strengthen our water infrastructure. It's important to support its passage, because the Environmental "Protection Agency" head is heading to congress to demand the opposite: paving the way for corporate polluters to further toxify water supplies; kill funding for clean water programs; and give billionaires and corporations more tax cuts.

Friends, take two minutes here! Let's all sign and send this important message. Together we can stop the bolstering (and possible expansion) of the Seneca Meadows Landfill, which already violates Town of Seneca Falls laws. We have to show the Town Board that we want and will support their decision to decline to be bullied into accepting a patnership with the Texas-based for-profit corporation called Waste Connections -- and any other bidders for this toxic enterprise.
