We hosted our first Alumni Advanced Advocacy Day yesterday with an incredible group of dedicated Alumni 😍 We laughed, we cried, and we learned so much together 📝 Something magical happens when you support parents and create opportunities to learn and grow together. We covered the current Policy Landscape Power Mapping, ACE’s and Protective Factors, and ended the day with mindfulness and communication strategies. We can’t wait to all be together again!

At KVCAP, our Maine Families Home Visiting Program is growing!

We are hiring a full-time Family Visitor (36-40 hours) in Skowhegan. Family Visitors partner with expectant parents and parents of young children in their home and virtually. Visitors help families understand their child’s development, support the parent-child relationship, share activities, work toward family goals, and connect family with community resources through referrals.

Apply online here: https://recruiting.paylocity.com/Recruiting/Jobs/Details/4307129

For more than 60 years, Head Start has provided high-quality early learning and comprehensive services to more than 40 million children and currently serves around 700,000 children annually, earning strong bipartisan support along the way.

The Administration's proposal to roll back critical health, safety, and quality standards would put children at risk and weaken access to high-quality early childhood education. NAEYC urges the Administration to reverse course on this harmful proposal.

In the coming weeks, NAEYC will provide additional resources, guidance, and opportunities to help early childhood educators make their voices heard by responding to this proposal through October 6.
