Interested 9th, 10th, and 11th graders are invited to sign up for the PSAT no later than Friday, September 18. Sign ups are located in students' Google Classrooms. The assessment will be held in school on Friday, October 9.
The PSAT is an assessment that covers Math topics including: Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem Solving and Data Analysis, Geometry, Trigonometry.
The PSAT also covers Reading and Writing topics including: Craft/Structure (comprehension, reasoning skills, analysis), Information and Ideas (evaluate ideas, evidence, make inferences) English Conventions (grammar, sentence structure, punctuation), Expression of Ideas (ability to revise texts).

Meet Our New Staff: Griffin Graves is joining the team as the new physics and chemistry teacher, entering his 7th year in education. Griffin earned his degree from the University of Maine at Farmington and is currently continuing his own education by working toward a Master’s degree in Instructional Technologies through the University of Maine.

Something you might not know about Mr. Graves is that he stays just as active outside of school as he does in it. In his spare time, he loves playing music, going for a swim, and hitting the trails for cross-country skiing in the winter. During the warmer months, you can often find him out on the course enjoying a round of disc golf. Griffin is excited to join the community and looks forward to a fantastic school year!

Meet Our New Staff: Dr Allison Dorko is thrilled to join WSHS after nine years as a college math professor. She has a PhD and Masters in Mathematics Education, a BS in Math, and a BS in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. She spends most of her spare time running and training for swimming (pool and open water races). Jellyfish are her favorite animal!

This year she is teaching Foundations Algebra 1, College Prep Algebra 1, College Prep Algebra 2, and AP Calculus. Dr. Dorko says she "is LOVING teaching high school students and my friends and family are probably getting tired about me talking about how awesome my job, colleagues, and students are." Welcome to WSHS Dr. Dorko!

Senior Sunrise 2026! Seniors showed up this morning bright and early to watch the sunrise and to celebrate their last first day of high school!
