We have the skills, opportunities, and desire to make Colby a great place for all of us. Yo, what's going on Colby fam? This is Cecil, and some of you may know me as Conscious. I am also known as the skateboard dude, or the Hip-Hop harmonica player. For years *not weeks*, I've known that serving people through office is my calling. I plan on making the world as much of a better place as I can with
a nice mix of music, policy, activism, and culture. That has brought me to the race for class President! I looked far & wide for someone who shares a similar desire to help everyone, and I found . Together, I would say that we form a damn good team ;-)
We run on a platform of loose logic. That is, knowledge which is unrestricted. We think about what really matters to people & do not allow constructs like cliques, classes, or social rules to dictate our interests. Many times in today's world, the media and authoritative figures feed us incomplete information which molds our minds into a shape which fits perfectly into an agenda. As an important part of this world, we won't continue without making a move. How should we start making things right? Easy: pick the right people to spark the discussion. Students, and people in general, need somebody who will sit for hours at end in a dorm listening to somebody's concern. They need somebody who will be crazy enough to try every-and-any-thing. They need somebody who can take on the world while still smiling with the glee of a goofy toddler. They need somebody who's conscious of what's around them, yet crazy enough to challenge it all. I know that I fit the description, and anybody who has known or seen me will realize this. Nadia, the sharp lady who has partnered with me, also looks forward to shaking things up for the better. With the mindset of a fiery activist, equal representation for her fellow women has always been a top concern for her. This same passion translates into everything else she does. You will have no problems believing it after seeing her in discussions or classrooms around campus. *She's also a kicking dancer if I may add* No matter what happens, she is the best person to help me identify and attack the issues of our day. She and I will bring the ideal combination of boundless idealism and grounded practicality to all of you. Our team will not be limited to us two, and it will definitely not be limited to those who worked with us. We welcome all of you, from Precious to Bob to Myles to Ernesto and all else. Those teams who are also seeking office are always welcome to extend a hand. Together we will create a setting of family, fearlessness, and FUN!
