If elected I will propose a bill that would give parents the lump sum (- $3000 )of the cost of educating their child. It would be in the form of a non cashable check that must be spent on their child’s education. You pick either public school, private school, charter school, homeschool etc. If it’s not spent before the start of the school year the check is canceled and your child will just go to public school. We would take 3,000 from your child’s education each year and put it in a high yield savings account. By the time your child is 18 years old they would have $50,000 dollars.
