New intercity bus route connecting Fairfield and Augusta!

Starting September 14, KVCAP is piloting the Fairfield–Augusta Intercity Deviated Fixed Route — connecting KVCC and 63 High Street in Fairfield with MaineGeneral Medical Center, Walmart, and Augusta Depot. Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, with 8 runs a day.

💵 Local fares: $2.00 regular / $1.00 discounted. Intercity fares: $4.00 regular / $2.00 discounted.
This is a demonstration project running through January 12, 2027 — ridership during this period will help decide whether this connection continues long-term. Every ride counts!

New bus route on Augusta's west side!

Starting September 14, KVCAP and the City of Augusta are piloting the Augusta West Deviated Fixed Route — a new loop connecting Downtown, Shaw's, Goodwill, Target, Hannaford, and 33 Union Street. Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, running about every hour.

💵 Just $2.00 regular / $1.00 discounted (65+, veterans, disabled, ages 11–17, Medicare card holders)
This is a demonstration project running through January 12, 2027 to see if Augusta needs this route long-term — so the more you ride, the stronger the case for keeping it going!
