Teamwork!

Yesterday’s Back to School Clinic was a shining example of collaboration between Waterville, Winslow, and Messalonskee schools - all coming together to make sure students are healthy and ready for the year ahead.

Our amazing regional school nurses gave up part of their summer to connect families across all three districts with the care their children need. Their dedication, combined with the support of the MaineGeneral school vaccination program, ensured strong turnout and meaningful impact. Special thanks to the Waterville team for hosting and managing the behind-the-scenes logistics that made the day run smoothly.

👏 This was true teamwork—rooted in care, connection, and community. Planning is already underway for next year!

Congratulations to WPS faculty members, Hope Lord and Jessica Jones, who were both recognized this weekend at the Maine Arts Education Association annual awards ceremony. Hope was recognized as the 2025 Art Educator of the Year and Jessica as the 2026 High School Art Educator of the Year.

Hope and Jessica, like their peers in the WPS Visual & Performing Arts department, inspire creativity and critical thinking, helping students express themselves in meaningful ways. We are proud to support Arts Education, knowing that it enriches the school experience, and boosts academic achievement, emotional well-being, and cultural awareness.

Congratulations, Greta!!!
