Enough is Enough: Our Community Deserves Better Than Gossip

We have recently been made aware of several inaccurate and disparaging comments regarding the Parker family, the Columbian House, and Third St. properties circulating in local groups. We ask community members to help us maintain a respectful environment by reporting defamatory posts to group administrators and Facebook.
To clarify: the Columbian House is well-maintained and structurally sound. While a 198-year-old landmark requires constant care—and the facade naturally shows wear from the elements—it is in significantly better condition today than when we saved it from disarray in 1993. While the building is no longer open to the public, it remains a priority for our family. We invite anyone with genuine questions or concerns to reach out directly to schedule a face-to-face meeting rather than engaging in online hate & speculation. Have a blessed day! 🙂
