As Emma Flower Taylor had hoped, the Roswell P. Flower Memorial Library will "benefit those that delight in knowledge" by providing a welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service from a committed staff and by being responsive to community needs. The Library will maintain a well-balanced collection of books, p

eriodicals, audio-visual materials, technology and other resources, and present programs on a variety of subjects in appropriate formats for children, teens and adults. Flower Memorial Library serves Watertown and surrounding communities as a center for reading, culture and research. The Library is a vibrant institution, committed to promoting a well-rounded and informed citizenry. As a premier historical and community asset, the Library offers educational and recreational opportunities for all ages.

🦖 Summer Reading 2026 is officially underway, and it's going to be dino-mite! 🦖

This year's theme, "Unearth a Story with Roswell," takes us back millions of years to explore dinosaurs, fossils, archaeology, and the incredible stories waiting to be discovered beneath the surface.

For every hour you read this summer, you'll earn one prize entry that you can put toward a prize in your age group. Participation is completely free, and you don't need a library card to join the fun.

Whether you're a tiny hatchling, a growing velociraptor, or a wise adult brachiosaurus, there's prize options for you. So stomp on over to the library, sink your claws into a good book, and make this a roar-some summer of reading! 🦕📚

June is almost here, and the library is buzzing with summer fun! From exciting programs to our Summer Reading Program to new arrivals to explore, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this June. We can’t wait to spend the summer with you!

Coming up in June we have:
- an interactive workshop with the Watertown Police Department learning about crime scene investigation for ages 8+
- a morning of connecting with local businesses for all ages
- a book recycling event with North Country Library System for ages 18+
- a summery paint by number program for ages 18+
- an informative seminar about online dating with the Victims Assistance Center for ages 12+
- & so much more!

Give a pint, get a pint with Stewart's Shops!

We're holding a Blood Drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on Wednesday, June 3rd from 9:30am to 1:30pm. It will be located in our South Reading Room right on the main floor. You can schedule an appointment to donate by using the Blood Donor app, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.

Don't forget to use the Blood Donor app and the Rapid Pass to save time on the day of the drive!

Ms. Jamie & Ms. Andrea had a blast at Career Jam today! We met with more than 100 eighth grade students from across the region to talk about the many different careers libraries have to offer, hand out fun library swag, and cheer students on as they competed in a relay race designed to channel their inner librarian.
