JCEMS was proud to help with the 25th annual Spring Fling EMS Conference last week. The event, hosted by the North Country REMSCO and the Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization EMS Program Agency, brings together first responders from around the region to sharpen their skills and knowledge. Our own Director of EMS, Paul Barter, gave a lecture about cardiology for advanced life support (ALS) providers during the Saturday sessions [pictured below].

A big kudos to the REMSCO, Program Agency, and staff who ensured the event ran smoothly for all of the attendees!

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has issued a No Unnecessary Travel Advisory for all of Jefferson County until further notice.

According to the National Weather Service, heavy snow is expected to continue through Sunday night into midday Monday, with total accumulations of 12–24 inches possible.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through Tuesday morning, and New York State is currently under a State of Emergency declared by the Governor’s Office.

Please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary, plan ahead, and check in on neighbors, especially older adults and those with medical needs.
