Conflict Resolution services include Mediation, Arbitration, Conciliation, Conflict Coaching, Restorative Practices (Community and Restorative Circ
les), Family Conferencing for free or at affordable cost. Mediation services have been available to Jefferson and Lewis County residents since about 1982. Areas of specialty include small claims, custody/visitation, child support (original orders only), school attendance/truancy, family conflict, special education, employee matters, and more. Since 1986 child advocacy for abuse/neglect has been provided through our Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA of Jefferson County) that is part of a statewide and national network. CASA services include supervised visitation and Office of Victims Services programming. Youth Court of Jefferson County is limited at this time (2021) due to funding cuts but gives youth the opportunity to right their wrongs and repair damage to avoid future interaction with the juvenile or adult justice system.
