Bill SF 443 in the Iowa Legislature to revise the way County Supervisors are elected in Black hawk County is sitting in the Iowa House awaiting floor debate and passage.

Iowa Senate File 443 would require County Supervisors for counties with more than 125,000 population to be elected from dedicated districts in which they live. This would include Black Hawk County where currently all 5 supervisors are elected at large and none of them live in the rural areas of the county.
