🗓️Don't Forget!
Absentee Ballots for the June 2nd Primary Election are due by 8 p.m. on Election Day (TUESDAY).

At this point, it's better to drop it off in person. The BHC Election Office is open regular business hours, and the Secure Drop Box is available 24 hours a day outside the BHC Courthouse, 316 E. 5th Street, Waterloo.

The Black Hawk County Election Office will be open TODAY - Saturday, May 30 - from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

This gives you extra time to:
✅ Vote early in person.
✅ Turn in your Absentee Ballot if you've already received one in the mail.

What a great turnout for the Food with Friends event yesterday at Cedar Valley Sportsplex. Our General Assistance Coordinator and Public Health Team staffed tables while K9 Mary worked the crowd.

Veterans can enroll at no cost to receive an Honor Rewards ID card, and local businesses are encouraged to join the program and show their support.

Proud of our team in the Auditor's Office and their commitment to giving back to the community!

Giving back to our community is something we truly value in the Black Hawk County Auditor’s Office!

This month, members of the Auditor’s staff volunteered at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and also had the honor of serving lunch to our local veterans. We are grateful for the opportunity to support organizations and individuals who do so much for our community every day.

Thank you to everyone who makes these programs possible — and especially to our veterans for their service and sacrifice.

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect and pay tribute.
