-Friday, May 8: No school for students (Staff Professional Development Day).
-Monday, May 11: No school for students (Staff Professional Workday).
-Tuesday, May 12: All students return to their normal schedules!

Why the extra day? Monday, May 11, was originally reserved as a potential snow make-up day. Since we didn't need it this year, students get to keep that day off as originally scheduled! ❄️☀️

West High Post Prom was a HUGE success!! Thanks again to all our donors and volunteers! With all your help, our kids had some great food, prizes, and fun! Again, we would like to thank our $250 plus sponsors for allowing us to provide an amazing night for our kids!

What a great week ahead!

Our girls' golf team is in 1st place after 1 round of the Metro Tournament, and they will continue with Round 2 on Wednesday at Irv Warren. The Varsity girls golf team also competes in the MVC Super Meet on Monday at Pheasant Ridge.

Good luck to our girls and boys track teams as they both compete at the MVC Divisional Meets on Thursday. The boys head to Dubuque, and the girls are at Cedar Falls.

Join us in celebrating 14 incredible West High School changemakers who were recently recognized in the 8th Annual Community Service Impact Awards! 🏆

These students aren't just thinking about the future—they are actively building a better one. They joined a nationwide effort of high schoolers who collectively invested over 2.3 million hours of service this year. From tackling local hunger to supporting quality education, these Wahawks proved that local action drives global progress. 🌍✨

Beyond the certificates, these students have earned a digital service resume to showcase their leadership and commitment as they head toward college and careers.

We would love to thank our $250+ sponsors for this year's West High Post Prom event. We have a lot of great things planned for our kids and are excited for a fun night. Their generosity has allowed us to plan an amazing evening filled with food, fun, and prizes! Thank you!!

National Honor Society volunteered their time last week, and over the weekend, picking up trash on West High’s campus and downtown Waterloo.
