We have a give-away for the month of September! Libby has given us a lovely gift basket containing a tote bag, a mug, a book lamp, and some other goodies. And best of all, it is completely free to enter. The contest starts after Labor Day on September 8, and the drawing will be held October 1.

Our September Lego Challenge begins now! Come in and build your best pirate ship. There will be a little different twist to this one: we want you to give your ship a great pirate-y name. We're looking forward to some creative ones!

What a close vote this one was! The winner of our August Back-to-School Lego Challenge by just one vote is the brother/sister team of Coraline and Luke C. Congratulations! You can pick up your prize at the library Thursday or later.

It is time to vote for the Lego Challenge contest for August. We have three entries this month. The theme was Back to School, and it seemed like each entry needed a bit of explanation, so be sure to read the captions on each photo. As always, likes and comments on each one count as votes.

We've had a lot of questions lately about donating books for our book sale. We love that this community is so generous, and we appreciate your donations, but we just don't have a place to store them until after the new year. Please refer to our guidelines to know what we can and cannot accept, and bring them around in January or later. If you really need to get rid of books sooner than that, Union City Public Library has graciously agreed to take them. Give them a call to see what and when to drop off.

Summer Reading Program Wrap-Up: If you haven't had a chance to turn in your reading log for prizes or have missed a week or two, your last chance to do so will be next Wednesday, August 26. After that, we'll be packing all the prizes and books away until next summer. Don't miss getting the prizes you've earned!
