As part of our ongoing commitment to health and safety, the Waterford Graded School District has installed a new, publicly accessible outdoor Automated External Defibrillator (AED) unit in the gazebo located between Evergreen Elementary and Fox River Middle School.

To provide support during a crisis, this station is also equipped with Naloxone for suspected opioid overdoses and a "Stop the Bleed" kit for severe hemorrhaging. In a cardiac emergency, time is the most critical factor: victims who receive an AED shock within the first minute have a 90% survival rate.

Over 100 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders participated in this year's Spring Spelling Bees at Woodfield and Evergreen. We had many winners including a 3 way tie in 2nd grade! We celebrated afterwards with some popcorn and a viewing of the Scripps National Spelling Bee live from Washington D.C. Congrats to all the winners and we look forward to next year!
