In Waterford Township, Priority Waste compost collection routes are currently 2.5 days behind schedule. Township officials have daily contact with Priority Waste and we were advised this afternoon that Priority hired a third-party contractor to collect the delayed compost routes.

Through their third party contractor, Priority plans to have all compost routes completed on the weekend of June 13-14, 2026.

• Oakwood Manor on Upper Silver Lake in Waterford due to elevated E. coli levels: 1,465.2 M.P.N./100 ml daily geometric mean
• Silver Lake Association beach on Upper Silver Lake in Waterford Lake due to elevated E. coli levels: 755.5 M.P.N./100 ml daily geometric mean
• Lake Oakland Shores beach on Oakland Lake in Waterford due to elevated E. coli levels: 1,349.8 M.P.N./100 ml daily geometric mean
• Watkins Lake Park Association on Watkins Lake in Waterford due to elevated E.coli levels: 349 M.P.N./100 ml daily geometric mean
• Crescent Lake Park on Crescent Lake in Waterford due to elevated E.coli levels: 607 M.P.N./100 ml daily geometric mean
• Lakeland Estates on Eagle Lake in Waterford due to elevated E.coli levels: 2164 M.P.N./100 ml daily geometric mean
• Woodhull Lake Civic Assoc. on Woodhull Lake in Waterford due to elevated E.coli levels: 461 M.P.N./100 ml daily geometric mean

These results are above the allowable limit for E. coli for daily sampling. The allowable limit for daily sampling is 300 MPN/100 ml.

OCHD will post closure signs today. Samples will be collected today with results available Friday (6/12).

Sample results will be available on the EGLE BeachGuard web site. Closure information will be available on the BeachGuard and OCHD Beaches web sites linked in the comments.

As construction activities get underway on the site of our future Waterford Community Center (at the former Oakland Community College Highland Lakes Campus), access to the construction areas on campus will be restricted to ensure safety.
