❤️🤍💙 Honoring a Waterford Hero❤️🤍💙
Last night, the Waterford Township Board of Trustees proudly presented a proclamation to Barney Ardensen in recognition of his recent Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Mid Michigan Honor Flight Inc.
Barney is a proud Vietnam Veteran who served two tours of duty and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained during his service to our nation. His courage, sacrifice, and dedication to protecting our freedoms make him a true American hero.
The Honor Flight provided Barney the opportunity to visit the memorials built in honor of veterans like himself, accompanied by his grandson, Gage. Sharing this meaningful experience across generations made the trip even more special. Barney's wife, Susan, was also present as he received this well-deserved recognition from the Township Board.
While Barney's military service is remarkable, his commitment to serving others continues today. As a dedicated Meals on Wheels volunteer, Barney helps deliver meals and friendly visits to Waterford's homebound seniors, making a positive difference in countless lives throughout our community.
Please join us in congratulating Barney on this incredible honor and thanking him for his service, sacrifice, and continued dedication to others.
❤️🤍💙 Thank you, Barney, for your service to our country and our community!❤️🤍💙
