👨‍🍳 HANDS-ON LEARNING. MEANINGFUL WORK. BRIGHTER FUTURES. ❤️ Chef Frank Parafati is in the kitchen with students from our 14th Merriman Culinary Job Training Program, helping them build the skills, confidence, and experience they need for successful careers. And what they’re learning is making a difference today! Meals prepared by our Culinary students are served to patrons of our Soup Kitchen and guests of our Homeless Shelter. ❤️ This important program is made possible through generous grant funding from the Connecticut Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Waterbury, along with the continued support of our individual donors. Together, we’re building skills, serving our community, and changing lives—one student and one meal at a time. ❤️

💙 Faith, Hope & Our Community 💙We are especially proud of our own Father James Sullivan, a valued member of the St. Vincent DePaul Mission Board of Directors, who was recently interviewed by WFSB-TV about the renovation of Waterbury’s historic Holy Land. In this thoughtful interview, Father Sullivan speaks not only about the importance of preserving and revitalizing this beloved landmark, but also about spirituality, faith and the deeper meaning Holy Land continues to hold for our community. We are grateful for Father Sullivan’s leadership, compassion and commitment to our community. We invite you to watch this wonderful interview and hear his inspiring words. 🙏

Father James M. Sullivan, pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Waterbury.

A SMALL DONATION CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE. ❤️ Imagine arriving at a Shelter with little more than what you’re carrying—and knowing that someone cared enough to make sure you had the everyday essentials you needed. That’s what your generosity provides. ❤️ Our Shelter welcomes so many guests throughout the year, and items like shampoo, deodorant, razors, and lotion disappear quickly. Please consider picking up an item from our September Wish List the next time you shop. It may seem like a small gesture—but to someone staying at our Shelter, it can mean comfort, dignity, and knowing that their community cares.📍 DROP-OFF / DELIVERY:
