We are getting ready for our big distribution day tomorrow! We will be giving out over 110 bags with fixings and turkeys so that the families we serve can enjoy a nice Thanksgiving meal. Thanks to the community for helping us make this happen!

Tony "the Mailman" and Kia's Food Drive yielded the food shelf 87 turkeys, 1 chicken, 1 ham, and various Thanksgiving fixings. Thank you to them and Al, Keith, Ryan, Nate and Nathan of Boy Scout troop #701 for braving the chilly day to come out and help! A big thanks to all those drive bys who donated and will help our local families have a turkey at their Thanksgiving dinner table.

Tomorrow is Election Day and our good friend Mary Miller and a group of volunteers will be at the polls from 7am-7pm at Thatcher Brook Primary School collecting unexpired nonperishable foods and monetary donations for the Waterbury Area Food Shelf. Please get out there and cast your vote! And...while you're helping America, please help us with your kind donations! Thank you!!!

The Waterbury Congregational Church held their annual "Human Food Chain" event this morning to help bring awareness and help stock our shelves for the upcoming winter season. Thank you to everyone who came out, donated, and also helped stock our shelves! It was a great morning! We are very grateful for your generosity!

Thank you for suggesting the community support the Waterbury Area Food Shelf at your annual Halloween Fest and Pumpkin Giveaway! It was so much fun! We are extremely grateful that you collected donations on our behalf!

Ben and Jerry's is having their annual Halloween fest and Great Pumpkin giveaway this Sunday, October 23rd from 10am-3pm, at their Waterbury factory on Route 100. It's a free event but, please consider bringing a donation for the Waterbury Area Food Shelf. See you there!
