If someone could help us identify this vehicle from early morning on October 23rd it would be greatly appreciated. I realize everyone has a place to get too in the mornings after dropping your kids off at school but I am asking people to please stop dropping your kids off in roadway and letting them cross traffic alone.

Parents please refrain from being on your cellphones while dropping your students off as well as while your driving through the school zone. It is both very unsafe and also illegal to do so. The law states you have to be utilizing handsfree in order to be on your phones. I saw several parents this morning on their phones. Tomorrow I will have my ticket book with me and will be issuing citations for this violation.

Parents as a reminder please do not turn left from School Ave into the parking lot during drop off and pick up of your students. This is causing a lot of congestion and the risk of accidents is a lot higher.

We had a situation where a transformer was hit and damaged. This caused an electrical issue in one of our buildings. This set our fire alarm off and we evacuated the middle and elementary campuses. At no time was anyone in danger and this was done strictly as a precaution.

Tonight, our district was made aware of a threat, made on social media, directed at some of our students. Chief Dulude was made aware of the threat and contacted school administrators. The threat was assessed and handled. At this time, school administrators feel that our students are not in immediate danger and the threat has been contained. You may notice a larger police presence on our campus tomorrow. Our first priority tonight has been, and will always be, the safety of our students and staff. School will resume as normal tomorrow.

There was a minor bus accident this morning involving a Caddo Parrish bus. All the kiddos on the bus where unhurt.
