About the Port:
The port brings jobs and recreational opportunities through a 400-acre
industrial park, a 79-hangar general aviation airport and 350-slip pleasure boat
marina. Grove Field is a small, general aviation airport with a state-of-the-art
fueling station and 14 tie-downs in addition to the 79 hangars. The marina is
the largest publicly owned marina on the Washington side of the Columbia River
and has a floating restaurant, launch ramp, nearby hotel, fueling station,
electricity on the breakwater/guest dock, and is homeport to the Dolphin Yacht
Club. Newly acquired and in the planning stages, are 13.25 acres of Waterfront
Property connecting a 14-acre parcel of port-owned land to the east of the
marina. The industrial park boasts a 90+ percent occupancy rate of more than
40 businesses with an annual payroll of $8.9 million and is adjacent to
Steigerwald Commerce Center, 120+ acres of property currently under
development. The port also manages Captain William Clark Park at Cottonwood
Beach, the adjacent protective levee and Parkersville National Historic site.

Attention Columbia River Boaters: Due to unusually low river levels, a large algae bloom, and ongoing aquatic vegetation growth, navigation conditions may be more challenging than normal. Please exercise caution, watch for potential hazards, and stay alert while on the water.

River stage levels will fall below 1 foot each day during low tide along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers in the Portland/Vancouver metro area. Boaters should use caution to avoid running aground, especially around low tide.

What an incredible Wheels & Wings Cruise-In! We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and made this year’s event a big success. Thank you to our amazing community, generous sponsors, and all the enthusiasts who brought a fantastic variety of vehicles and airplanes.

We’re proud to partner with the Washougal School District, whose Shoug Shack team prepared and served the hot dogs provided by the Port, helping make this event a success.

This was our first time hosting Wheels & Wings on a Thursday instead of the usual Saturday, and we were thrilled to see a strong turnout and a smooth transition to the new date.

We look forward to seeing you at future events and can’t wait for the next Wheels & Wings!

In July, divers removed a staggering 17,500 gallons of aquatic vegetation from Parker’s Landing Marina.

This work makes a significant difference in keeping the marina accessible for boaters and visitors. Aquatic vegetation is a natural and recurring part of the environment, much like plants on land; it grows, spreads, and returns whenever conditions are favorable. While removal efforts can greatly reduce vegetation in targeted areas, it is not possible to permanently eradicate it. Marinas throughout the Columbia River face similar challenges.

The Port is continuing to work with Marine Taxonomic Services (MTS) to schedule follow-up removal sessions throughout the remainder of the growing season.

We appreciate your patience as we continue our efforts to keep our waterways accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Below are before-and-after photos.
