At the 12th Annual Learn Here Heroes event, Washougal's own Kenneth Kulk and Brittney Johnson were recognized alongside honorees from regional K-12 districts, Clark College, WSU Vancouver, and statewide institutions. Hosted by Identity Clark County, the annual event celebrates the exceptional educators, volunteers, staff, and community leaders who strengthen the local educational system and help students build bright futures.
The Washougal School District proudly nominated these two outstanding individuals whose leadership and service directly impact student independence and community support:
Kenneth Kulk, our WHS Adult Transition Program Teacher, works directly with students with disabilities in the Adult Transition Program. He is recognized for empowering his students by building vital life and career skills, helping them foster the independence needed to successfully transition into the workforce and their community.
CRGE Booster leader Brittney Johnson serves as a dedicated community and booster leader for the district. She is celebrated for her exceptional ability to align community support, drive fundraising efforts, and boost engagement to significantly expand extracurricular and educational opportunities for Washougal students.
