Mrs. DeCosta’s PLTW Engineering Essentials classes participated in a simulated disaster relief challenge. Students took on the role of engineers, designing, building, and testing devices to deliver emergency supplies to victims after a natural disaster using a limited set of materials.

Little Britain is getting ready to celebrate International Dot Day tomorrow! In the Art Room, students are making a mark and seeing where it takes them with the Dot Challenge: turn an ordinary “dot” into something extraordinary 🎨🖌 Students in every grade are making their mark, transforming simple circles into creative, imaginative works of art. Because sometimes, all it takes is one little dot to spark a big idea 💭

Mrs. Gonzalez’s first grade class at Taft has been listening to many stories about starting school 📖✨Through various characters, the class has learned that many different feelings come with transitioning back to school. The students were able to identify characters that felt nervous, scared, unsure, excited and confident. They enjoyed making connections to their own feelings and to each other. We know that all feelings are ok, and often change many times throughout the day. They are all doing a great job with regulating their emotions and behaviors!
