πŸ’™ Wellness Wednesday: Move. Create. Recharge. πŸ’›

Who says wellness has to look the same for everyone? πŸ‘€

Today, our Tigers got to Move Their Way! Students had the opportunity to walk, dance, move around, or choose an active way to recharge and get their bodies moving. πŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸƒπŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

And some of our Tigers REALLY got moving! πŸ˜‚πŸ’ƒπŸ½ A special shoutout to Mrs. Quinn and Ms. Howard for leading the Cupid Shuffle and getting our students up, moving, smiling, and having fun!

The wellness continued in the classroom with our 7 Mindsets lesson, Embrace Creativity! πŸŽ¨πŸ’ Students explored how thinking differently, using their imagination, and being open to new ideas can help them work through challenges and discover new possibilities.

Sometimes wellness means moving your body. Sometimes it means stretching your mind. Today, our Tigers did a little of both! πŸ’™πŸ’›

How do YOU like to move, recharge, or get creative?

πŸ’™Forever Standing Strong πŸ’›

Sometimes standing strong is a little easier when you have someone in your corner. πŸ’™

Each month, we recognize one student from each grade level who has shown strength, perseverance, and determination. Our Forever Standing Strong students also get the opportunity to recognize a Difference Maker β€” someone who has encouraged, supported, or made a positive impact on them along the way. πŸ’›

🌟 Our August Honorees:

6th Grade: Juliet Smith
Difference Maker: Mrs. Duggan

7th Grade: Sami Barnes
Difference Maker: Reagan Crowe

8th Grade: Johnny Angel
Difference Maker: Ms. Doughty

Congratulations to our Forever Standing Strong students, and a special thank you to their Difference Makers! Your encouragement and support may mean more than you know. πŸ’™πŸ’›

πŸ’™πŸ’› Wellness Spotlight: Our Tigers Have Something to Say! πŸ’

Need a little motivation today? Our Tigers might have exactly what you need!

Our students have been sharing their own wellness tips, and we couldn’t keep this wisdom to ourselves! From staying positive and chasing goals to taking care of yourself and showing kindness to others, our Tigers had plenty to say. πŸ’™

A special shoutout to Dr. Berry & Mrs. Stratton’s class, who put their wellness wisdom on sticky notes and joined in on the fun! πŸ’›

πŸ₯¨πŸ“š Pretzels & Progress was a success!

We served up progress reports and a look at student academic progress… with a side of pretzels, of course!

Our families stopped by to chat with teachers, ask questions, and see how their Tigers are doing so far this year.

A big thank you to all of our parents and guardians who came out! We loved having you and appreciate you partnering with us to keep our Tigers moving forward. πŸ’™πŸ’›

A little progress, a little partnership, and a little pretzel crunch made for a great day at WWMS! πŸ₯¨βœ¨
