United Way of Daviess County

United Way of Daviess County The United Way of Daviess County serves all of Daviess County Indiana

United Way brings together citizens, community leaders, business, the faith community, government, non-profit organizations and other institutions to determine the most critical human issues that require collective, not just individual, action. These issues range from basic human needs - like food, shelter and emergency assistance - to emerging and growing issues like the need for affordable housi

ng, services and support for seniors, and positive youth development. United Way then raises money locally in an annual campaign, generates other revenue outside of the campaign, secures non-cash in-kind resources, and advocates for sound public policy, along with employing other relevant strategies in order to produce concrete results.

Proud to support Generations and their Meals on Wheels program. A nutritious meal can do more than feed a senior—it can help them remain independent and in their own home. That's the impact of your United Way dollars at work. 💙

Today, our United Way of Daviess County Board came together for a productive board meeting focused on the progress we’ve made, the direction we’re heading, and the continued work ahead to strengthen our community.

During director updates and planning discussions, we shared progress on grants that have been accepted and received, along with additional funding opportunities and partnerships currently being developed to continue expanding support and resources throughout Daviess County.

We also recapped our 31st Annual Day of Caring, where approximately 580 volunteers came together to serve our community through projects, partnerships, and acts of kindness across Daviess County. The turnout, energy, and community support made this year’s event another incredible success and a true reflection of what can happen when our community comes together.

Our board members continue serving as advocates and ambassadors for UWDC, helping share our mission, impact, and messaging with donors, workplaces, and the community. Their leadership and support help move our work forward every day.

Together, we continue building stronger partnerships, expanding opportunities, and reinvesting back into the community we all call home.

On Wednesday, we were out at the Daviess County Health Fair providing free resources and education through our Safety and Awareness Program.

In just a few hours, we distributed:
• 20 syringe disposal containers
• 15 medication lock boxes
• 20 medication deactivation kits

Yesterday, we welcomed our raffle winner, Stephanie Thompson, and her children into our office to pick up her basket. Her kiddos even got to take home some fun leftover props and goodies from Day of Caring, which made it a special for them. 🥳

We touch nearly everyone in our community, directly or indirectly, by providing partnership, funding, education, collaboration, and resources.

United is the way. ♥️
