At approximately 13:41:57 on 01/24/2026 we were notified via Central Dispatch of a Structure Fire on the 1000 block of Grandview Street. When crews arrived they laid in from the hydrant to supply water. 2 sheds and one trailer were deemed a total loss. Crews were out for several hours and even responded back for a rekindle. After this units cleared without incident.

*A thank you to the kind gentleman who provided our crews with hot coffee during this cold extinguishment*

Press Release:

This past summer, the Lubeck, Washington Bottom, and Blennerhassett Fire Departments strengthened our Automatic Aid Agreement to include all emergency calls, excluding medical emergencies.

What does this mean for our communities?
• Faster response times from the moment a call is received
• Increased manpower to handle emergency incidents
• Additional apparatus and resources available when needed

To support this change, our departments are currently participating in a multi-week Emergency Management and Incident Command training program.

As always, our mission is to serve and protect the citizens of our communities with the highest level of dedication and professionalism.
