The Millennium Fellowship is a leadership accelerator for exceptional young professionals that have demonstrated the capacity to tackle complex global challenges. These young leaders range from members of parliament, presidential spokespeople and top journalists to entrepreneurs, AI researchers and social innovators. Over the course of the year-long program, Fellows participate in about 100 hours
of curated virtual content, including workshops and trainings intended to unlock their leadership potential. Fellows also receive individualized executive coaching and take master classes taught by distinguished senior leaders and subject matter experts (past speakers have included Secretary Albright and former National Security Advisors Steve Hadley and General Jim Jones, for example). The virtual elements of the program are accompanied by an in-person, week-long “study tour” wherein Fellows travel to the front lines of a global challenge. During recent trips, Fellows have met with heads-of-state, ministers, cabinet and elected officials, Nobel laureates, and many other senior leaders. They have interviewed world leaders on the margins of a NATO summit, learned from Venezuelan dissidents and former combatants in Colombia, and met with Syrian refugee leaders in Turkey and Greece. Undoubtedly, study tours are a program highlight for Fellows. Equally powerful are the lifelong relationships Fellows forge and the network they join – they remain part of the Atlantic Council family and join an extensive Fellow Alumni community upon completion of the program. Apply for the 2023 class of Fellows by March 1, 2023!
