If you would like to learn about some of the scaly and slimy Goose Creek State Park residents, make your plans to come to the Herping Hike on Monday, Sept. 28th at 1:00pm. Meet at the swim beach parking lot.
Save the Date for Goose Creek After Dark with a hike on the Haunted Longleaf Trail. The date is Sat. Oct. 3rd with Oct. 10th as the rain date. The event is free of charge, but participants are asked to bring school supplies to be donated to Beaufort County Schools.
Please note there is a detour in place to drive of the park due to the closure of Camp Leach Road. Drivers are to continue driving east and take HWY 92 towards Bath. In the Whitepost Community take a right turn on Hawkins Beach Rd. This will take you to Camp Leach Road.

After Monday, August 10th, drivers going to Goose Creek State Park will have to take a detour around a closed portion of Camp Leach Road. due to the bridge replacement on Upper Goose Creek. The detour will direct you to continue beyond Camp Leach Road onto HWY 92 East towards Bath. In the Whitepost area, you will be directed to turn right on Hawkins Beach Rd. This will take you to the opened portion of Camp Leach Road.
