California isn't letting up: the state is still fighting to facilitate students’ gender transitions behind their parents’ backs. This should be a simple case—parents, not the government, have the right to direct the upbringing of their children, as the Supreme Court affirmed in Mahmoud v. Taylor. Today, we filed a friend-of-the-court brief at the Ninth Circuit urging the court to put an end to California’s attempts to sidestep SCOTUS and restrict parental rights.

Another state is trying to force nuns and other Catholic healthcare ministries to betray their faith by facilitating assisted su***de—and this time, Illinois is threatening to punish them for speaking their life-affirming mission. Today Cardinal Cupich of the Archdiocese of Chicago, two orders of nuns, and a Catholic pharmacist sued the state over its attempt to make them act against their faith.
