📸 A shared vision for the future of American coal.

At the Montana Coal Summit, HGEO Acting Assistant Secretary Curt Coccodrilli delivered remarks on the path forward for American coal — from reliable baseload power at home to expanding exports for our allies abroad. The summit also featured a fireside discussion with Montana Governor Greg Gianforte, whose leadership continues to champion Montana's coal industry.

Montana's leadership understands what's at stake: good jobs, strong communities, grid reliability, and America's standing as a global energy leader.⚡

Under President Trump's American Energy Dominance Agenda, HGEO is proud to stand with Governor Gianforte and partners across Montana to keep American coal powering the nation and the world.

🗣📢 "Thanks to a Trump Administration agenda rooted in energy addition, the United States is producing more energy than ever before."

That was the message from HGEO Acting Assistant Secretary Curt Coccodrilli at the U.S.–Republic of Korea Energy Business Forum, where he highlighted America's position as the world's leading producer of oil and natural gas. 💡

From LNG and coal to nuclear, geothermal, critical minerals, and rare earths, the U.S. is leading across the full energy landscape, positioning America to stand as a supplier of choice for allies like Korea, especially when global markets are strained.

That leadership is backed by real investment in export capacity — including up to $75 million in Defense Production Act funding for the new West Gateway Terminal Project in Oakland, California, expanding West Coast coal exports to allies including South Korea.

Under President Trump's American Energy Dominance Agenda, HGEO is delivering the energy abundance that powers America and strengthens our partners abroad. ⚡

America's energy security depends on strong domestic coal supply chains. ⚡⛏️

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is supporting 13 coal plants across 10 states and critical export infrastructure to strengthen coal production, transportation, and delivery nationwide.

The investment will help preserve more than 14 GW of coal-fired power capacity—enough to power more than 14 million American homes—while supporting mining jobs, port operations, and reliable energy supply chains. 🚢⚙️

DOE is also investing in the West Gateway Terminal Project in California, which will expand U.S. coal export capacity, strengthen national security, and create new opportunities for American coal producers.

📸 American Energy Dominance in action.

HGEO Acting Assistant Secretary Curt Coccodrilli joined government officials and industry leaders at the second U.S.–Republic of Korea Energy Business Forum in Washington, D.C., to strengthen a key energy partnership.

Korea is the number one importing country of U.S. LNG — with more than 2.6 trillion cubic feet of American natural gas delivered over the past decade. As global energy demand rises, that partnership is proving indispensable. ⚡

And that partnership keeps growing: The U.S. Department of Energy recently announced up to $75 million in Defense Production Act funding for the West Gateway Terminal Project in Oakland, California — a new marine export terminal that will expand West Coast capacity and support energy exports to allies including South Korea.

Under President Trump's American Energy Dominance Agenda, HGEO is working to ensure the United States remains a reliable long-term energy partner — and a supplier of choice for our allies around the world. 💡
