There are thousands of state legislative races on the ballot this year – here are the 10 that matter most right now.

As we enter the final stretch of election season, there is a major overlap in the opportunity to both win back the majority in the U.S. House and the once-in-a-generation opportunity to make gains in our state legislatures.

Nationwide, there are over 12 million “overlap voters” – voters who live in a DLCC target and a DCCC-targeted U.S. House district.
These voters will play a decisive role in who wields control at all ballot levels because they live within competitive U.S. House and state legislative districts.

In our target states, our target districts overlap with 44 competitive House seats, including 33 potential red-to-blue flips.

Layered efforts in these districts and resourcing both congressional and state legislative districts can secure a new Democratic majority in Congress while simultaneously winning nine critical battleground state legislative majorities for Democrats and blocking Republican supermajorities in six states.
