International Peace Organization USA ("IPO") is a Non-Profit Organization, (NGO) Non-Governmental Organization, based in Washington, D.C. ُُEstablished in 2010. Dedicated to generating a new platform for meaningful dialogue among diplomats, government officials, academic experts, and business leaders. Our programs and activities help foster international understanding accelerating connections, improve information-sharing, and increase economic opportunity. Foreign embassies in the United States may nominate any personality or organization in their home country to receive one of the three awards presented each year by the IPO including The International Peace Prize USA, for their distinguished work. With more than 25 years experience in the international, and diplomatic community, Dr. Ossama Elsharabassi holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Wiltshire University in Pennsylvania, and MBA from the Virginia Community College, and a BA in Journalism & Television from South Carolina University. Elsharabassi, created the peace theory: The Opposite of Power = 1 Barrel of Oil Infinity. Advisor with the public relations firm Scribe Strategies & Advisers in Washington, D.C. dealing with government affairs here and abroad. He has held various positions as a television producer, journalist, writer, media expert and advisor, and a consultant with film production companies in Hollywood, California. Elsharabassi has actively participated with The United States Congress in presenting a proposal for Bill H.R. 2580 to the Chairwoman of the Immigration Committee, Congresswoman Louise M. Slaughter of New York, supporting alien spouses and children trapped in abusive relationships, enduring both physical and mental abuse as well as a proposal for Bill H.R. 5693 to establish a "battered spouse to waiver" allowing the conditional passes for the accessibility to their green card without the affidavit of their abusive spouses. The two Bills were subsequently signed into law.
